Almost everywhere in the United States, radio is a medium obsessed with delivering ears to advertisers (or underwriters). This story is not about radio as we have come to know it. It is about a station devoted to educating and organizing farm workers.

In an effort to give a voice to migrant workers, dozens of radio techies from around the country descended on the farming town of Immokalee over the weekend to build a community radio station.
Janna Graham also wrote an article about the Barn Raising for the Canada's grassroots national newspaper, The Dominion.
