How the SACReD Station will work
How it Works on the Transmitter Side
On the transmitter side there is a windows computer(dd) which reaches up through a satellite dish (cc) to a satellite (bb), which pulls the internet stream from the server.
The satellite company system is only compatible with the windows operating system, so this computer is connected to the actual Linux OS streaming computer (ee) via ethernet.
The link computer decodes the audio and outputs it through the line out jack of the soundcard to the transmitter(ff) where the audio signal is transformed into a radio signal.
It goes into up the transmission line, into a lightning arrester (gg), which is hooked by a fat wire to the antenna mast(kk), which is in turn connected by a fat wire to a ground rod (jj). The radio signal continues up the transmission line, past the lightning arrester into the antenna, where it travels through space and time to the listene'rs receiver.
